Stage 1 · Consultation
What you want and what your hair will do.
Four services, all starting with a consultation.
Bring the photo by all means — it tells us what you like. Then we will tell you honestly whether your hair texture, density and growth pattern will do that, and what will get closest. That conversation is the difference between a good cut and an awkward month.
What you want and what your hair will do.
Length and shape settled before we start.
Checked with you as we go.
How to keep it, and when to come back.
What suits your jaw and growth.
Set to grow out well.
Even, and to the length agreed.
Tidied, with upkeep explained.
A beard line cut too high looks sharp on the day and wrong within a fortnight. We set the neckline and cheek line where they suit your jaw and where growing out will not look untidy, which matters more than how crisp it is when you leave.
A proper shave is mostly preparation — hot towels, oil and lather to soften the beard before a blade touches it. Blades are single use, every time. Tell us about skin conditions, cold sores, recent facial treatments or blood-thinning medication beforehand, because sometimes the right answer is not today.
Skin, conditions and medication.
Towels, oil and lather, properly.
With a fresh single-use blade.
Cooled, soothed and checked.
Booked when the shop is calmer.
No rush, no surprises.
At their pace, with breaks.
Better than a bad first memory.
A busy shop with clippers running is a lot for a small child. We book children into quieter slots, take it at their pace, and stop if they have had enough — a partly finished cut and a child who will come back beats a finished cut and one who never will.
Book a chair, or walk in and we will fit you in when one is free.
