Talk before cutting
Two minutes saves a month.
Because the hair in it belongs to someone with a different texture, density and hairline.
Almost every disappointing haircut traces back to a conversation that did not happen. Someone shows a photo, the barber nods, and twenty minutes later both of them know it was never going to work on that hair. Saying so at the start takes two minutes and is the whole job.
Beards are the same, in slow motion. A line cut high and sharp looks excellent on the day and wrong within a fortnight, because it was set for the photograph rather than for how the hair actually grows back.
And hygiene should never be something a customer has to wonder about. Clean tools between every client, single-use blades for razor work, and a patch test before any colour — all unglamorous, all non-negotiable, and all worth asking about wherever you go.
Two minutes saves a month.
Not for how it looks walking out.
Clean tools, single-use blades, patch tests.
